Adoption Timeline
January 2011 - Decided this was the year to start our adoption.
February 2011 - Chose Carolina Adoption Services as our agency
April 7, 2011 - Began homestudy for adoption from country of Moldova
April 30, 2011 - Final homestudy visit
June 6, 2011 - Finally get Canadian Police and Child Abuse Clearances
September 13, 2011 - Homestudy sent to CAS (the wait was because adoptions in Moldova were on hold...we decided to submit homestudy anyways and would just change it if we decided to switch countries)
November 2, 2011 - Alert CAS of the decision to switch to Russian program
November 2, 2011 - Receive first Referral
November 7, 2011 - Evaluation of medical info of Referral #1 from IA doctor - conclusion is not so good. We proceed anyways.
November 2011 - Mad scramble to get dossier complete so we can travel to meet Referral #1
December 13, 2011 - Dossier mailed off!
December 28, 2011 - Spoke with 2nd International Adoption Doctor about Referral #1 medical info. Confirmation of medical issues but more sever. Call CAS to decline referral :(
March 7, 2012 - Receive notice of approved I600A
April 12, 2012 - Receive referral #2 - DIMA!!
April 21, 2012 - 1st Trip to Russia
